Bio
Originally from the mid-west, Blythe has lived and worked in New York and New Jersey since 2001. Upon graduating from Cornell University she has practiced in the field of landscape architecture and now owns her own company designing and installing residential and small commercial projects in the New York area.
Statement
The landscape is essential to both my professional and artistic life. As a practicing landscape architect I apply the technical rigidity of drafting to fantastical outdoor visions. The resulting paintings although not representational, detail fictional landscapes in great detail lending them an air of reality.
